Staff Report

After retiring from the U.S. Air Force in 2012, Eric Schnitzer and his wife, Geralyn, recently opened FASTSIGNS® of Brandon.

“With over 29 years of Air Force experience, I’m excited to take my leadership and management skills from the military to the business world,” said Schnitzer. “As owners of FASTSIGNS of Brandon, Geri and I are ready to serve the Brandon community as well as the area’s military families and veterans by providing top-quality visual communications and marketing solutions.”

While serving the Air Force, Schnitzer commanded an F-16 fighter squadron in Korea and an Air-Ground Operations Support Group in Fort Lewis, Wash. and Baghdad, Iraq. In 2012, he retired from the service with the rank of Colonel and decided to open his own business with Geralyn.

Located at 2020 W. Brandon Blvd., FASTSIGNS of Brandon officially opened for business on August 13. Along with owners Eric and Geralyn is the center’s graphic designer, Alexander McMenemy, who graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a degree in Fine Arts. He’s excited to work with the Schnitzers in growing their business, as well as helping other Brandon businesses with their sign and graphics needs.

“After raising two children, sending my husband off to war and moving 14 times, we are really looking forward to settling down and serving the entire Brandon community,” said Geralyn. “We plan to provide rapid, responsive service and a quality product to match each and every customer’s needs.”

FASTSIGNS® of Brandon is a signage, graphics and visual communications partner that provides comprehensive solutions to help customers of all sizes – across all industries – meet their business objectives and increase their business visibility through the use of signs, graphics, printing, promotional products and related marketing services.
