Brandon Regional Hospital is proudly celebrating the one-year anniversary of the opening of its Emergency Center in Plant City. The 11,000 sq. ft. facility, located at 3065 James L. Redman Pkwy in Plant City, was built to serve residents of Plant City, Dover, FishHawk and the surrounding areas.

Bland Eng, Brandon Regional Hospital CEO said, “We had so many patients coming to the main hospital for healthcare from these areas, that it was just a natural extension for us to build a free-standing Emergency Department.” According to Eng, “Since opening, the hospital has received feedback suggesting that patients in the Plant City and surrounding areas can drive to the center easier than going to the hospital in Brandon.”

The Plant City Emergency Center is open 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week. It is located in a convenient location with plenty of parking. Brandon Regional Hospital has worked hard to provide quality care in an expeditious manner. “Most of the staff in Plant City live in the surrounding areas. They are committed to serving the community and are some of the nicest and most compassionate people you will ever meet,” added Eng.

The residents of Plant City have access to Brandon Emergency Center’s posted wait times. Eng said, “As a hospital system we have worked hard to put processes in place that make sure patients are seen quickly, in a state of the art facility by exceptional Emergency Room physicians.”

The Emergency Center in Plant City has allowed residents of Plant City, FishHawk and the surrounding areas the opportunity to have the experience of a facility that treats 100,000 patients per year, close to their home. The one-year-old Emergency Center offers a high level of quality care including direct access to a full-service Heart and Vascular Center, access to the latest stroke treatment options, access to board certified emergency physicians and registered nurses and access to all specialty services offered at Brandon Regional Hospital.

With the success of the Plant City Emergency Center, Brandon Regional Hospital is looking at what other services can be offered in the Plant City area.
