Though this area is not a center for musical talent and entertainment such as Nashville, Tennessee, the Sun City Center United Methodist Church will come close to that next month. By hosting a Nashville Hall of Fame Concert on Friday, February 21, this church seeks to share the joy of music with an audience of over 800 people.

Concert promoter Hal Jeffery explains the various artists that will perform at this concert. “Richard Kiser is a guitarist of the great Chet Atkins style of music. He has been named Instrumentalist of the Decade twice, as well as Artist of the Year four times. He is a member of three Halls of Fame for his music. He will be on stage with Charlie McCoy who was the Music Director for the television show Hee Haw for 19 years,” Jeffery points out.

Quintessential studio musician Charlie McCoy has debuted on a number of famous albums such as that of Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Frank Sinatra and Tanya Tucker. A member of seven Halls of Fame, he has internationally released over 40 albums of his own. Jeffery  will be the opening performer, beginning the show with a short comedy routine for the enjoyment of the audience.

Last year, this same concert was brought to this same church, and was wildly successful. Over 800 attendees made it a sold-out event.” I expect that it will sell out again and we will be looking to do two shows in the future tours,” informed Jeffery.

The concert will take place on  Friday, February 21 at 7 p.m. Many audience-involving activities will take place. A drawing for an autographed guitar will also take place.

To attend, there is a $10 advance fee or $15 at the door. Tickets are available at Sun City Center United Methodist Church located at 1210 Del Webb Blvd. W. Admission can also be acquired at the Sun City Center Chamber of Commerce at 1651 Sun City Center Plaza.  For more information, contact hjeffery@verizon.net.
