The first annual 2014 Bright House Networks Regional Business Awards was held on Thursday, February 27 at the Hilton in downtown Tampa.
Hess & VanLandschoot Orthodontics was named small business of the year by Bright House Networks. More than 150 businesses were nominated by their Chambers of Commerce from all over the Tampa Bay region (seven counties) who teamed up with Bright House. Of those businesses, 60 were finalists. The categories included start-up business, small business, medium business and large businesses.
The festivities were highlighted by several high profile guest speakers, including the new Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach, Lovie Smith and Florida Blue CEO, Pat Geraghty. Tampa Bay Lightning CEO, Tod Leiweke, was also a guest speaker.
“Over the past three years, we’ve been honored with several prestigious awards. In 2011 we won the Brandon Chamber small business of the year. In 2012 we were named the Riverview Chamber small business of the year and now the Bright House Networks regional business award. We owe these achievements to our fantastic and hardworking team as well as our patients and our community for all their support over the years” said Dr. Michael Hess.
