Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in solving a recent hit and run crash that landed a Brandon couple in the hospital, injured both physically as well as emotionally.

The vehicle deputies are searching for is a Gold Lexus SUV with damage to the left front.

The driver is described as a white female, between the ages of 48 – 55 with shoulder length blonde hair.

According to HCSO spokesperson Debbie Carter, while riding their 2003 Honda Shadow, David Lindsay, 46, of 420 Van Read Manner and his wife Connie, were traveling south on Bell Shoals Road nearing the east exit of Walmart which is located on the south west corner of Bloomingdale Avenue and Bell Shoals.
Deputies said that the suspect was traveling north on Bell Shoals Road in the turning lane, attempting to turn left into the Walmart parking lot when it turned in front of the Lindsay’s motorcycle.

Unable to avoid hitting the left front end of the SUV, the couple crashed the bike into the car.

“I asked her to help us, but she just drove off,” David said as he described the scene, adding that his wife was unconscious, while he was begging the driver of the SUV for help in the middle if the road.

Instead of helping, the SUV fled the scene and was last observed traveling north through the Walmart parking lot.

The Lindsay’s were transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
