Newland Communities and FishHawk Ranch, MiraBay and Waterset homebuilders won 21 Best of Class, Grand and Merit awards spanning all 27 categories at the recent Tampa Bay Builders Association Parade of Homes awards ceremony. AMERICAN NEWLAND COMMUNITIES, their joint venture partner NORTH AMERICA SEKISUI HOUSE, LLC (NASH) and their quality builders were applauded for design and architectural excellence in multiple classes and price ranges.

“Our communities had the most successful Parade of Homes to date. At this point, it is indisputable that we have the best builder partners – ones that know how to design homes that fit our residents’ lifestyles,” said Rick Harcrow, senior vice president of operations for Newland Communities. “From the beginning of FishHawk Ranch 17 years ago to the recent opening of Waterset, we’ve maintained that same commitment to excellence that continues to differentiate us from other offerings in the market.”

Parade of Homes judging was done by a panel of independent homebuilding experts who considered site plan, curb appeal, design, materials, outdoor living spaces, architectural detailing and workmanship.

Homes in FishHawk Ranch received more accolades than any other Parade of Homes community that night, which included Best of Class for Best Curb Appeal and Best Master Suite design won by the Tradewinds 4 Mediterranean by Sabal Homes. The community also played host to the Showcase Home, the Venezia by Homes by WestBay, and won six Grand Awards and four Merit Awards. FishHawk Ranch homes range from 1,850 sq. ft. to more than 6,000 sq. ft. and are priced starting in the mid $250,000s.

Waterset, the latest Newland Communities property in Tampa Bay, had four Merit Award winners along with the Best of Class designation for Best Kitchen and Best Master Suite. The community, noted for its contributions to revitalized interest in Apollo Beach’s housing development, features homes ranging from 1,530 sq. ft. to nearly 4,000 sq. ft. and priced starting at $200,000.

Additionally, MiraBay, a waterfront community in Apollo Beach, had its Nantucket model by Homes by WestBay named Best of Class for both Best Kitchen and Best Architectural Detailing, as well as received one Grand Award. MiraBay homes range from 1,800 sq. ft. to nearly 4,000 sq. ft. and start in the mid $200,000s.
