On Thursday, May 29, from 6-8 p.m., State Representative Ross Spano will be holding a second Open House at his office. The event will provide an opportunity for constituents to meet their elected representative as well as his staff.  It also allows Representative Spano to meet many of the residents that he represents.

“I try hard to do as many community events as possible,” said Spano.  “We have had a couple of Small Business Roundtables, an ice cream social and a few community forums.  I really enjoy meeting everyone and hearing their concerns.”

Representative Spano has just completed his first term as State Representative for District 59.  After being elected in November 2012, Spano has focused on issues affecting the area. These issues include small business tax and regulation relief, consumer protection as well as spending a considerable amount of time working to protect the victims of human trafficking.

District 59 is a diverse district that encompasses most of Greater Brandon including Brandon, Valrico, Lithia, Dover and parts of Riverview and East Tampa.  The open house is being held in the Town of Winthrop, which is near the geographical center of the district. The legislative office is located in the Times Building at 11256 Winthrop Main St. in Riverview.  Refreshments will be served and all members of the community are welcome.
