HOARivercrestChanges and Renovations Being Made at Rivercrest

The board of Rivercrest is busier than ever this summer planning the building of a second pool. A contractor has been chosen, and the project will be an adult swimming pool with hot tubs and fire pits. The CCD supervisors have been working hard to make these upgrades without raising fees on assessments.

The swimming pool will be breaking ground soon and the goal is to have it open next spring. There will also be improvements made to the existing pool area, such as the shade covers being replaced to match the sand colored shades that cover the play areas. The appliances in the clubhouse have been replaced with new stainless steel models.

Next on the list to be changed is the cabinetry. All these changes are being made to better suit the needs of the Rivercrest residents, and the clubhouse will also be available to rent out; just see the staff to reserve a time and date.

Support Groups for Spouses of Deployed Service Members

The Rivercrest Community Association is looking to facilitate a committee to provide support for spouses of deployed service members. It is conducting a survey to see how many residents would be interested in helping out.

Rivercrest residents who would like to participate are asked to stop by the Clubhouse on Monday, Wednesday or Friday between 9 a.m. -5 p.m. to give contact information to Mary Lee. Residents can also e-mail her at rivercrest@wisepropertymanagement.com.

This is a long range vision to help with things such as lawn care, support groups and whatever else spouses need assistance with. The spouse of a deployed service member takes on all the responsibilities of being both mom and dad, and can be stressful. This committee would help to support the spouses and help them manage all their newly added tasks.

Back to School Splash

Summer is winding down, and Rivercrest residents are invited to the Back to School Splash on Saturday, August 16 at the Rivercrest Community Center from 1-3 p.m. There will be snacks drinks and pool and park games.
