With all of the big box retailers out there, it seems as if the days of personal relationships in the marketplace are long gone. At Rx Oasis, the motto is “Less is more” and the focus is on personalized service and care.

According to the company’s mission statement, Rx Oasis was founded on the concept of shopping for medication and healthcare needs in a relaxed and tranquil setting that brings together customers and the community to promote healthier lives.

“We offer anything that the big chains offer and also service group homes and assisted living facilities with state-of-the-art technology,” said Pharmacy Manager Kam Patel.

“We know all our customers by their names, call them for refills when due, and synchronize medication so they are only making one trip to the pharmacy,” he added.

Previously located at 11902 Boyette Rd., Patel said that existing customers and physicians dictated the pharmacy’s move as the primary location lacked visibility and proved not to be convenient to customers because of construction. The new location at 9304 Balm Riverview Rd. in Riverview, just east of U.S. Hwy. 301, is centrally located and provides easy access.

Patel said they knew nothing of the building of Riverview Crossings, the nearby assisted living and memory care facility under construction on U.S. Hwy. 301, but it is a blessing in disguise.

Rx Oasis offers free medications, automatic refills, Rx text and e-mail alerts, workers compensation, medication compounding, bar code scanning for Rx status check and refill request, medication packaging, med-checks, prior authorization requests, Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and E-Prescription Service. Customers can also purchase over-the-counter medications and vitamins. For added convenience, a delivery service is available.

Patel has been a Pharmacist for 22 years and has a background in chain retail pharmacy, mail order, hospital and closed-door pharmacy in both the U.S. and London. Prior to joining Rx Oasis, he served as regional health care manager for CVS for three years and director of pharmacy for RxPerts for two years.

RX Oasis is open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and Saturday 9 a.m.-1p.m. For more information, visit www.rx-osis.com or call 677-6000. Follow on Facebook at www.facebook.com/rxoasis.
