Valencia Lakes West Women’s Club (VLWWC) members are asked to consider running for the board for the upcoming election in November. All board positions are open for the 2015 – 2016 season.

The VLWWC enjoys helping the community like making contributions to Moffitt, donating handmade quilts to the VA Hospital, giving scholarships to students who attend college, sponsoring an angel tree and more.

Being a board member involves a few hours a month to attend both an executive board meeting, and the general membership meeting and perform selected duties of the position.

The term for the current board ends on Wednesday, December 31, and the following positions are available for elections:

President: The president shall preside at all meetings of the club, regular and special, and at all meetings of the board. The president shall prepare an agenda for these meetings.

First Vice President: The first vice president shall fulfill the duties of the president in the absence of the president. The first vice president shall be the chairman of the membership committee. The vice president shall keep accurate roll of club membership.

Second Vice President: The second vice president shall be chair of the Social and Enrichment Activity Committee, which shall provide programs including those for meetings of the Club.

Third Vice President:: The third vice president shall be chair of the fundraising and donations of Goods and Services Committee. The club shall determine how the funds, gifts and donations are distributed.

Secretary: The secretary shall be responsible for preparing, submitting and maintaining the minutes of the club and board meetings and all other legal records of the club including mission statement, bylaws and papers of incorporation, and shall distribute the club’s minutes to the membership in writing.

Treasurer: The treasurer shall be responsible for the assets of the club and shall maintain records of the club’s bank accounts and income and expenses
