The concept of Koizi is simple; endless sushi, Hibachi and Asian food made-to-order for lunch and dinner. Lunch is just $9.95 and dinner is $17.95 and Sunday’s price is $15.95 all-you-can-eat, and the menu consists of soups, appetizers, entrees, hibachi, sushi and specialty rolls.

The first location in Tampa was a hit, and now is available for those in the Brandon and the surrounding areas. It can be found in the plaza on Causeway Blvd. near Publix, in the location that was formerly Oyishi Japanese Buffet.

“We noticed that a lot of our clients were from the Brandon area, and we knew when we opened a second location that we wanted it to be close to Tampa so it was a good fit,” said Koizi’s General Manager Cheree Zhang.

“Business is doing even better than we hoped it would. We have diners that live in Tampa and were familiar with us, and they Koizifood2014-11-07 12.22.54work in Brandon so now they come over on their lunch breaks,” said Zhang.

Koizi is beautifully decorated, the Hibachi section is lit with blue lights under the table, and the dining area is a cozy atmosphere. Diners can choose where to sit, and those at the Hibachi table will wait a bit longer for their food, but will get the entertainment of the chef cooking right in front of them. Either dining choice offers both fresh Hibachi or sushi and other entrees. A La Carte dining is also available if the whole table decides to dine that way.

Sushi rolls range from classics like the spicy tuna roll to specialty rolls like the tempura or California roll, and they even have signature rolls like the dancing krab roll and rainbow roll.

Koizi is located at 11245 Causeway Blvd. in Brandon. It is open Monday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sundays from 12 Noon-9 p.m.
