comedy-night-flyerfinalCelebrity impressionist and comedian Michael Petit has promised a night of clean comedy at The Regent in Riverview on Friday, August 7 from 6-9:30 p.m.

“It will be clean, family fun. All our shows will be that way. We’re going to start a series with The Regent and hopefully have four shows per year. We pride ourselves on providing clean, wholesome, family comedy from here on out,” said Mike Self, event planner.

Eight local restaurants will have booths on site for patrons. Eat at your favorite place, or try them all.

“Michael will provide the humor, we’ll supply the food, and all you need to do is bring a date, a friend or friends, and be ready for a great evening of laughs,” said Self.

Petit has been entertaining audiences of all ages with his high-energy brand of comedy across the United States for over 25 years. He has been featured on Comedy Central, ESPN, and still performs on-stage in Las Vegas.

Proceeds from the comedy show will benefit the South Shore Music Festival, an event that raises funds for the community. This year, donations will benefit Honor Flight of West Central Florida, Feeding America Tampa Bay, My Warrior’s Place and Haley House. Three of the four organizations specifically provide services to veterans.

Premium tables can be reserved for $300. Regular tables are $275. All tables seat eight guests. Tickets can be purchased for $35 each or $60 per couple. There will also be a silent auction, raffle prizes, gift baskets, and a chance to win a Lottery scratch-off board.

Tickets are available through the South Shore Music Festival Facebook page. Get tickets fast; the last comedy night was sold out. The Regent is located at 6437 Watson Rd. in Riverview. For further questions, Self can be reached at 690-2201.
