Southern Eye Care Associates, a member of Vision Source, is celebrating its fifth anniversary of being the leader in providing quality vision care products and personalized optometric services in Valrico.

Drs. Mona Kardani and Branning Hollis, both graduates of Nova Southeastern University, and their experienced staff offer a full suite of services to preserve customers’ vision and prevent eye conditions, including comprehensive eye exams, vision correction procedures, hundreds of frames to choose from, and a wide selection of contact lenses. The team at Southern Eye Care Associates ensures every patient receives the best care.

“We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide array of eye diseases, conditions and problems,” said Kardani.

FishHawk resident Patricia Cavarra, who moved from Orlando three years ago, said she found Southern Eye Care Associates after an unsuccessful visit to another eye doctor.

“When you don’t get a good feeling when you first walk through the door you’re not going to like the service,” she said.

She was driving past the practice one day and noticed the sign. She scheduled an eye exam for her husband (he was the guinea pig) but after the visit decided to have Southern Eye Care Associates become her vision provider as well.

“I have an astigmatism in my left eye and Dr. Kardani has been the only doctor who’s been able to fit me for contacts,” said Cavarra, who also takes medication that requires more frequent eye examinations. “She has the proper equipment to handle my exams,” she said.

Cavarra said that even though she is moving soon to Valencia Lakes in Wimauma she won’t be looking for another eye doctor.

“When you find the right doctor it becomes a relationship and you are willing to drive further and do what it takes because eye health is so important,” she said.

Southern Eye Care Associates is located at 3307 Lithia Pinecrest Rd. (at the corner of Lithia Pinecrest Rd. and Miller Rd.). Its business hours are Tuesday through Friday 9 a.m.–6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.–2 p.m.
