When seeking dental care, clients look for a welcoming atmosphere where exceptional attention and service is a priority. SouthShore Orthodonics brings that next level of care to Riverview. About to celebrate its one year anniversary on Friday, March 25, Dr. Matthew Ahrens and his wife, Sara, invite the community to choose their family for all orthodontic needs. The Ahrens know their office is set apart from the rest. Dr. Ahrens finished Sara’s sentence, “Our office feels very warm and welcoming, like the patients are family.” And they promise to treat all their patients just like they would their own children.

Dr. Ahrens is a Board Certified Orthodonist specializing in traditional braces, clear braces, and Invisalign for adults and children. He is committed to finding the individualized treatment plan that helps patients realize how a beautiful smile can positively brighten their lives. Sara, who assists in the management of the office, sees her husband work with their patients every day, and her passion and confidence in Dr. Ahren’s abilities radiates through her words.

“He focuses on the highest level of care using the newest technology and providing one-on-one doctor care, so patients feel at the center of attention,” she said.

Dr. Ahren has a way of making patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment, and he is supported by a fantastic team of dental professionals who always want the client’s visit to be excellent. Patients like Sophia Bigos agree.

“The staff is amazing. They make you feel at home the moment you cross the threshold,” Bigos said. “Dr. Matt took the time to listen to my concerns and insecurities about being an adult patient with braces. I had my braces put on the same day of my consult.”

The Ahrens live with their two young boys, Landon and Brady, in the SouthShore community and are also avid supporters of local schools and churches, taking mission trips through Bell Shoals Baptist, sponsoring local honor roll parties and little league teams, and creating the car line tags for the surrounding elementary schools. They want to live and work in the community in which they practice to better the lives of those around them.
Sara grew up in Brandon and Dr. Ahrens in Ocala, and their shared vision is to give back to the communities that raised them.
