The Trey Curry Foundation is proud to present the 9th Annual Vine to Wine on Friday, May 13 at The Regent located at 6437 Watson Rd. in Riverview beginning at 7 p.m. Funds raised at the event benefit A Kid’s Place in Brandon. Advance tickets are $100 and must be purchased by Saturday, April 30. After this date, tickets are $135. Tickets can be purchased online at www.treycurryfoundation.org.

This year, the theme for Vine to Wine is Mystique Fantastique…A Masquerade Affair. Wines provided by Premier Beverage will be offered throughout the evening. Chef Dave West of the Rolling Pin Kitchen Emporium in Brandon will once again be preparing a delectable array of savory treats.

In addition to the great food, fine wines and scrumptious desserts, guests will have a chance to bid on a wide array of items in both a live and silent auction. This year, guests are in for a surprise as an aspect of entertainment and food will coincide with the theme.

The Trey Curry Foundation was founded in 2008 in honor and memory of Terry and Clif Curry’s son, Trey. Mary Beth Curry, executive director of the Trey Curry Foundation, said, “This event is held every year to raise money for A Kid’s Place and the Trey Curry House at A Kid’s Place. Our family made a pledge to fund the house. However, even after the pledge commitment is fulfilled, we will continue to be involved because the facility will continue to need funds to continue its mission to provide a safe place for abused, neglected and abandoned children.”

Curry added, “Our relationship with A Kid’s Place started five years ago when Wayne Witzak, the former executive director of Kid’s Charity Tampa Bay (a fundraising arm of A Kid’s Place), reached out to our family regarding funding the last house at A Kid’s Place. We immediately decided that it would be a phenomenal way to always remember Trey and bring publicity to both our foundation and to A Kid’s Place.”

A Kid’s Place is located at 1715 Lithia Pinecrest Rd. in Brandon. It is a state of the art residential care facility that provides a safe and loving environment for children from birth to 17 years of age who have been removed from their home due to abuse, abandonment or neglect.
