After buying a house in Riverview in March 2016, Pastor Henry Dale and his wife, Jennifer, felt that God wanted them to start a church in their community.

Since June 2017, Increasing Word Fellowship has been meeting monthly at 9:15 a.m. for worship at the Goodrich Riverview 14 GDX movie theater, located at 10550 E. Bay Rd. in Gibsonton.

On Sunday, November 12, the Dales will launch their new church with a new series titled How to Deal with Life Challenges and will begin holding services on a weekly basis.

“We feel very strongly that we are starting the church in the right place and in the right city,” Rev. Dale said.
The church is in the midst of a series called What Do You Have? What Do You Need? – with messages on Life and Movement in God, An Understanding and Disciplined Mind, and Using What You Have.

“Increasing Word Fellowship is a church that seeks to foster faith in the heart of every person,” Rev. Dale said. “Our mission at Increasing Word is to empower believers to walk in their calling and gifts.”

Jennifer Dale said the church’s values are ethnic diversity, ministering to families and individuals, and using the Bible and scripture as its foundation. She said church attendees can expect life-applicable messages, great fellowship and interactive services.

“We’re not perfect, and we don’t expect you to be,” said Mrs. Dale, who works as an administrator at Hillsborough Community College.

Upcoming services are scheduled for Sunday, September 10 – Companions, Friends and Loved Ones; and Sunday, October 8 – Always Getting Better.

Rev. Dale works as a chaplain for the Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons at the Coleman Federal Correctional Complex, where he ministers to hundreds of inmates every week.

Dale, a Tampa native, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in special education from the University of South Florida in 1997. He continued his education at Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, N.C., earning a Master of Divinity degree in 2001.

He accepted the call into the ministry in 1989, and has served as a pastor in South Carolina.
