Brandon Christian Writers Meet

Do you have a story to share but don’t know how to start? Would you like to get your feet wet in the sea of publishing? Come meet with a great mix of successful and aspiring writers who get together monthly to learn the ropes, find inspiration and enjoy networking. The Brandon Christian Writers meet the fourth Thursday of every month at St. Andrews Methodist Church, 3315 Bryan Rd. in Brandon in Room 305 of the Family Center.

The LifeCare Network’s Annual Golf Tournament With Helicopter Drop

LifeCare’s annual golf tournament will be held on Friday, April 13 at the River Hills Country Club in Valrico. Check-in begins at 11 a.m. and is followed by lunch and a helicopter golf ball drop. The shotgun start is at 12:45 p.m.

The registration fee is $150 per person and includes golfing, lunch, dinner, a Dri-Fit polo shirt, a goodie bag and contests along the golf course.

Scrapbooking Event

Holy Innocent’s Episcopal Church is hosting a scrapbooking event on Saturday, April 14 from 9a.m.-6 p.m. Registration fees include workspace, light breakfast and lunch. Bring your own supplies. There is plenty of room and great lighting. Registration fee is $35. Proceeds from this event will benefit Holy Innocents mission trips. The event will be held at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, 604 N. Valrico Rd. in Valrico. Holy Innocents’ Sixth Golf Scramble

Holy Innocents’ Episcopal Church will hold its Sixth Annual ‘Best Ball’ Golf Tournament at River Hills Country Club, on Saturday, April 14’ , at 1 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the winning foursome as well as for Longest Drive and Closest to the Hole Contests. There are also Hole in One Prizes and a Putting Competition. The event will conclude with dinner, a raffle and silent auction during the Awards Ceremony. Music And Friendship Theme Of Brandon Christian Women’s Next Luncheon

The Brandon Christian Women’s Connection will be hosting s luncheon on Monday April 9 to celebrate ‘Music and Friendship,’ with special friends and concert performers, Cia McKay and Nancy Unsworth. The luncheon goes from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Bell Shoals Baptist Church in the special Event Center, 2102 Bell Shoals Rd in Brandon. The cost is $15. First time guests pay $10.  This is a nondenominational luncheon and all ladies are invited. A reservation is requested by Monday, April 2. Havdallah Service and Diversity Panel Remembering that the Holocaust was fueled by the dynamics of discrimination, demonization and marginalization, we are hosting a panel discussion of diverse and marginalized community groups.
