The 2018 Greater Hillsborough County Fair opens Thursday, October 18 for two weekends of fun and entertainment. This year’s theme is ‘Good Times and Country Rhymes.’ The fair will run Thursday to Sunday, October 18-21 and 25-28. Adult admission is $7, students K -12 $5 and seniors are $4, five and under are free.
Parking is free. Opening Day (October 18) is dollar day. Admission and rides are $1 each.

Livestock shows, carnival rides by Arnold’s Amusements and fair food are a staple at this annual event and the excitement doesn’t stop there. Free entertainment includes Robinson’s Racing and Swimming Pigs.

The popular Firefighter Show returns featuring educational entertainment. Enjoy the show as firefighter extraordinaire Neal Snyder puts his young volunteers through their training.

A circus returns bringing thrills and amazing circus acts.

Market show weekend will include a market steer and market lamb show, in addition to a market swine and market turkey show and sale. Buyers are welcome to support these amazing youth and purchase one of these market livestock projects.

Grandstand events on October 19 and 20, will feature the Rodeo with fast action on horseback and courageous bull riders.

The Truck and Tractor Pull is the featured grandstand event on October 26 and 27.
The famous Demolition Derby will round out the grandstand events on Sunday October 2 with cars crashing into each other until the last one is declared the champion.

Grandstand events are only $10 following paid admission to the Fair. Purchase tickets in advance from one of our cooperating merchant locations (listed online) for $10 and admission to the Fair is free.

The Hometown Hillsborough area, offers a 2,500 sq. ft. building built to replicate a traditional on Farm Packing Shed housing many of the tools and equipment used in days gone by. The East Hillsborough County Historical Society will highlight the history of area churches in the building this year.
