Riverview Woman’s Club members meets up all throughout the year not only to connect with each other but also to work toward support of local students.

The Riverview Woman’s Club is gearing up for a spectacular night that promises laughter, community spirit and philanthropy.

Attend this organization’s first Holiday Comedy Night on Wednesday, December 6 at The Regent in Riverview and enjoy dinner and a show for just $65. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m., and guests can expect an evening filled with side-splitting humor courtesy of talented comedians Helen Keaney and Michael Murillo while enjoying a delicious meal and welcome drink, all included in the ticket price. Guests are also able to participate in a silent auction and purchase drinks from the cash bar.

Keaney is a hilarious comedian known for her time on HSN, Comedy Central, Lifetime and her feature in the hit movie The Tooth Fairy 2 in 2012. Local comedian Murillo has opened for big-time stars like Amy Schumer, Tig Notaro, Judy Gold and Greg Fitzsimmons.

The Riverview Woman’s Club is actively seeking sponsorships to support the Holiday Comedy Night. This event has two large sponsorship levels, each with different perks. At the $500 sponsorship level, guests will receive four tickets, reserved seating with table signage, drink tickets and sponsorship listed on print material and social media. At the $1,000 level, the sponsor receives eight tickets with reserved premier seating and table signage, drink tickets and sponsorship listed on print material and social media. Current sponsors include Grease Monkey, Myers Law P.A. and Southshore Insurance Professionals.

The funds raised from this event play an important role in the Riverview Woman’s Club’s commitment to providing scholarships to local high schoolers. Last year, the Riverview Woman’s Club raised an impressive $9,000 for students in the community. The Riverview Woman’s Club supports local students through Volunteer Opportunity Fairs, scholarships and more. By helping students, the club is able to ensure the success of our future.

“As a local business owner, I like networking with like-minded women as well as the most important factor, giving back to my community,” said Melissa Canfield, owner of Grease Monkey, “and in my industry we find it very important to not only support students looking for a traditional college path but encourage those who are more interested in something like a trade school as well.”

The Riverview Woman’s Club is known for its regular activities, like monthly luncheons, coffee club meetings, and networking events, and it offers a diverse and inclusive community for members.

Don’t miss this opportunity to laugh, connect and make a positive impact in the community.
