FishHawk Urgent Care Provides Exceptional ServiceIf you haven’t gotten your flu shot yet, it’s not too late. FishHawk Urgent Care in Lithia is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., so it’s easy to fit a flu shot into your busy schedule. The flu shots are $15 and no appointments are necessary, you can just walk in. Director of Marketing Candace Macedonio said it’s important to get your flu shot, just like it is every year. Medical Assistant for FishHawk Urgent Care, Sandy Houghtalin, added, “Not just for you, but for your loved ones.” The two also said that senior citizens should definitely get flu shots. Flu season usually begins in September or October and can continue into December, January and beyond. While flu outbreaks can happen as early as October, most of the time flu activity peaks in January or later. FishHawk Urgent Care will also travel to one’s office, like it recently did at the Osprey Observer, to administer flu shots. There is no minimum amount of flu shots or people to receive flu shots for Urgent Care to come out. “Some people are just too busy or their job won’t let them come,” Houghtalin said. FishHawk Urgent Care also treats basic illnesses and provides pre-employment physicals, drug screening and workers compensation injuries as well as urgent care emergencies. New to the office is Rejuvensce MD, an aesthetic care center offering a full doctor supervised weight-loss program, skin rejuvenation, spider vein reduction, laser hair removal, leg veins elimination, acne treatment and more.
