In April, the Helping Hands Program from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints came out to help at the Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center’s Beautification Day. Over 60 volunteers painted the tennis building and café; mulched the playgrounds, landscaped the front entrance, washed the after-school pick-up vans, replaced the café’ countertops, performed carpentry and electrical work and cleaned up its pond. Located at 405 Beverly Blvd. in Brandon, BSAC can be reached at 689-0908.
