Kim and Chris Tom saw a need within the community for a holistic and healthy pet foods and treats store. To celebrate three years of success, Dog Gone Holistic will host an anniversary sale Friday and Saturday, May 13 and 14.

Since May 2008, many dogs and cats alike have gone holistic and benefited from the resolution of health problems like excessive shedding, chronic ear infections and poor mobility. In celebration of three years of business and a multitude of healthier, happier, shinier pets, Dog Gone Holistic will offer customers two days of savings during its anniversary sale on Friday and Saturday, May 14 and 15.
Discounts will range between 10%-30% off an expansive selection of chew items, grooming products, beds, apparel, flea and tick products, toys, holistic foods and remedies. One week prior to the anniversary sale, Dog Gone Holistic’s Website will feature coupons for extra savings on products.
Along with the expertise of two avid animal lovers, owners Kim and Chris Tom, Dog Gone Holistic will also be giving out free dog/cat goodie bags. “One of the bags will contain a golden paw. Whoever gets the golden paw can redeem the paw for a $50 Dog Gone Holistic gift card,” Kim explained.
With a $25 purchase the first 50 customers on each day will receive a goody bag with lots of additional treats and a chance at the golden paw. “They were a huge hit last year, “Kim added.
The 2,100 sq. ft. store has seen its biggest growth in the products offered. “People are amazed to see our selection,” Kim said. By next year, Dog Gone Holistic is hoping to expand into the space next door to accommodate the growing selection of products. Kim explained that is the backbone of the business along with the service and expertise.
Janice Thomas of Plant City has been a customer for as long as they’ve been open. A pet owner for over 15 years, Thomas has always supported holistic foods and would travel great distances for the products.  With six dogs, several of them show dogs, and a cat, Thomas buys everything from canned food, dry food, treats and supplements at Dog Gone Holistic. “We’re just glad they are in the area,” Thomas explained. “They’re very knowledgeable,” she said, adding “if they don’t know they will find out.”
