If you or your child is interested in learning to play an instrument, then give Creative Music Ability and Linda Cassell-Lalonde a try. Creative Music Ability is located at 310 Taxter Run Lane in Valrico.

Lalonde was instrumental in starting a Suzuki String and Piano program at the Hoyt Fine Arts Institute in New Castle, PA. Lalonde explained, “What’s unique about this teaching method is that students can learn to read music and play by ear.” Lalonde added, “This method is good for any age.”

Creative Music Ability offers students extensive experience in varied events such as mini-concerts three to four times a year and performances at Assisted Living Facilities in the area and at the Brandon Christian Women’s Luncheon.

Lalonde added, “We have something for everyone from classical, jazz and blue grass to pop and contemporary style.”  Lalonde has experience in Suzuki teaching, public school teaching, production of Broadway musicals, professional singing and music.

Doug Hampton’s daughter, Deanna, began taking violin lessons from Lalonde at age four and a half. “Deanna was less than five years old when she began playing the violin and singing in front of a hundred or more seniors at local ALF’s.” Hampton added, “She enjoys it immensely, as do those who watch and listen to her. I would recommend Linda to anyone interested in learning to play a musical instrument or to sing, or to parents who want the best for their children.”

Similarly, Martia Mangosing said, “My two sons take piano and guitar from Linda. She makes learning music enjoyable. Linda’s experience in teaching is phenomenal. She welcomes parents to the lessons.”
