Boyette Dental is pleased to announce the addition of a new dental hygienist to its staff. Treva Davies recently started work at Boyette Dental at the end of July.

Born and raised in the Riverview area and an East Bay High School graduate, Davies knew she wanted to do something in the dental field ever since high school.

She started as a dental assistant, but when the opportunity arose for her to go to school to become a dental hygienist, she took it. Davies attended Pensacola Jr. College in Pensacola, where she lived with her husband who was in the Navy, and has been a hygienist since 1984.

Due to her husband’s Naval career, Davies worked as a hygienist in countries such as England and Spain before settling back in Riverview. “I always knew that I wanted to come back to Riverview, its home,” said Davies. “My husband and I moved back here in 1993 and I’ve been a dental hygienist here ever since.”

Davies worked at an office in Brandon for 15 years before the office unexpectedly closed in April of 2012. It was through a bit of networking that she heard about an opening at Boyette Dental. “I came in one day and dropped off my resume. I was very happy when I got the job,” said Davies.

One of the biggest things that stood out to Davies when starting at Boyette Dental was all of the top-of-the-line technology that Boyette Dental has in its office. “Everything is very new a fresh,” said Davies. “There’s up-to-date equipment, digital x-ray machines, there’s no waiting to come in and everything is very prompt.”

Now that she has started at a new office, Davies is reaching out to patients from her former office. “I just want to let them know that I’d be happy to help them here. Boyette Dental always has openings and is still happy to take new patients,” she said.

Boyette Dental is located at 10825 Boyette Rd. in Riverview. For more information or to make an appointment, call 741-0483 or visit www.boyettedental.com.
