CEO of Alpha-Omega Title, Gibbs Wilson, said that to effectively operate a growing title insurance agency, “one must emulate the skills of a CPA, a United Nations diplomat and the famous plate-spinners who appeared on the old Ed Sullivan Show.”

It works, because Wilson has led his company in establishing a local presence in the industry for 25 years.  Today he has three offices in south Tampa, Carrollwood and north Tampa, that handle a plethora of commercial and residential real estate transactions.  Most people only experience going to a title company a couple of times in their lives, but that time spent can prevent a lot of headaches.

Alpha-Omega’s services include acting as escrow agent, performing title searches and examinations, writing and dispersing funds, recording appropriate documents in public records and issuing title insurance policies to buyers and lenders and much more.

A booming local market and increasing market share have contributed to Alpha-Omega’s growth and it is expanding to Brandon and Pasco County locations.  Significant development projects are part of its portfolio, including exclusive title insurance rights to The Plaza on Harbor Island, as well as The Signature Place, a project on the St. Petersburg waterfront.

At the core of Alpha-Omega’s mission is a commitment to integrity and personal service.  It has an open-door policy allowing employees to provide feedback.  Also, frequent employee gatherings are held, both social and professional. Wilson is an active volunteer and believes in giving back; so he encourages his employees to do the same.  It has supported Habitat for Humanity, Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to name a few.

The Alpha-Omega story is similar to many small business stories.  Wilson said, “This was not attained overnight, but with sustained and managed growth.  This success was realized while giving generously back to the community and beyond.”

Alpha-Omega was named Small Business of the Year by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce and also awarded by the Greater Tampa Chamber: The Outstanding Leader of the Year and Mayor’s Award for Community Involvement.  Its Brandon address is 1101 Marbella Plaza Dr. in Tampa.  You can call 514-2828 for more information or visit www.alpha-omegatitle.com.
