Looking for something fun and different to do this fall? Then head out to Plant City and try the 2nd Annual Fox Squirrel Corn Maze located on the Single R Ranch at 3002 Charlie Taylor Rd. in Plant City.

The Futch family has been preparing the five-acre corn maze all year for this wonderful family event. The Single R Ranch is a working cattle ranch that has been in the Futch family since the 1920’s. Janet Futch said, “In an effort to revive the family property and renew some of the local heritage, we began this venture with high hopes that visitors will experience the joy that comes from a good and wholesome autumn tradition.”

The Fox Squirrel Maze is nothing but fun and gets you into the fall holiday spirit. In addition to the main attraction, there is a large pumpkin patch for kids and adults to pick out the perfect pumpkin. You will not want to miss Squirrely’s General Store where you will find homemade corn syrup, local honey, antiques and other gift items. The traditional tractor-pulled hayride takes you on a tour of the ranch.

Food vendors are on site to provide fair foods such as fried dill pickles, vegetables, deep-fried potato on a stick, chicken-fried bacon and good old fashioned hamburgers and hot dogs.

While you are on the property, you might just catch a glimpse of wild turkey, deer, cattle, raccoons and the ever-frisky Sherman, the Fox Squirrel.

Admission is $10 plus tax for adults, $9 plus tax for youth 3-18 years and two and under are free. Group rates are available. Cash, MasterCard and Visa are accepted for admission, but vendors accept cash only.

Fox Squirrel Maze is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. October 12-November 3 on Saturdays and Sundays. Fridays are reserved for pre-arranged groups and field trips.
