The staff at Women’s Care Florida-Women’s Care Brandon will be on hand at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk (sponsored by The American Cancer Society) on October 19, showing their support in the fight against breast cancer.

“Our goal is to give back to the community and support causes that are dear to us,” said practice administrator, Christina Adams. In October, raffle tickets will be sold in the office with one hundred percent of the proceeds going to The American Cancer Society.

Adams said it’s not just during the month of October (which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month) that the group puts a focus on charitable service.

The practice has Casual Fridays with staff members paying for the privilege of wearing jeans by making a $5 donation to whichever charity is being supported that month.

In November, the focus shifts to a food drive for ECHO and then in December the group collects toys for Toys for Tots.

“Our December event is very rewarding because we end up with overflowing boxes of toys at each of our locations,” said Adams.

Women’s Care Florida-Women’s Care Brandon is located at 731 S. Parsons Ave. with offices in Plant City, Lithia and Gibsonton.

In practice more than 20 years, the group offers obstetrical care and women’s health and gynecology, including in-office bone density screenings, mammography screenings and sonograms. In-office surgeries are also performed with the assistance of an anesthesiologist.

Patient education is also a top priority. Each exam room comes equipped with a Patient Education System (PES), a state-of-the-art interactive monitor that allows patients the opportunity to become educated about health topics in the privacy of the exam room.

FishHawk resident, Debbie Dunn, who has been a patient at Women’s Care for more than five years, says she enjoys the convenience of the practice.

“Its Lithia office is close to my home and the Brandon office is close to my job,” she said. “And I can get all gynecologic exams and tests done in one place at one time”

Women’s Care Florida-Women’s Care Brandon is open Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. Tuesday nights are “Ladies’ Nights,” when the office is open until 8 p.m.
