Local residents can begin the holiday season by attending one of the festive, holiday-themed activities at Center Place in Brandon this December. They have many fun, family-friendly activities planned. First up is the 3rd Annual Holiday Tea set for Sunday, November 24 from 2-4 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to dress up in festive outfits and enjoy an elegant afternoon tea complete with Sugar Plum Fairy Scones, Holiday Tea and tea sandwiches.

Tickets are $35 per person and the cost to be a table hostess for a table of eight is $250. Dianna Galia, Public Relations Coordinator for Center Place said, “This event is a great way to spend time with the ladies you love, whether it’s mothers and daughters or friends and family.”Next, on Wednesday, December 4 the entire family can attend the 29th Annual Lighting of the Christmas Tree. This is a free community event co-sponsored by The Community Roundtable, Cox Electric and Ferraro and Higginbotham & Hayes, P.A., C.P.A. The evening will feature amazing children performances by several dance, music and theatre schools from the Brandon area.

“This is a great opportunity to celebrate the holiday season and even get to visit with Santa,” said Galia.On Thursday, December 5 holiday shopping will be available at Pat’s Corner Holiday Open House from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Take advantage of a storewide 25 percent off discount with proceeds supporting children’s programming at Center Place.Then, on Saturday, December 7, bring the children to Santa’s Holiday Workshop beginning at 11 a.m.

For just $10 children get to visit Santa’s Workshop, create the perfect gifts for their parents and even write a letter to Santa.Finally, on Friday, December 13 children and adults alike will revel in a fun and joyous ride around the world with Santa’s Holiday Revue presented by Stages Productions.
