Roman is a man full of passion for his Creator, with a fire that quickly spreads. His song writing reflects a depth of Spirit. His songs inspire and communicate uncompromising love and power. Quoting the Legendary Andrae’ Crouch, “Bobby Roman has a fabulous anointed voice, and each time I hear him sing, he sings like he is singing for the last time – with such energy and power.”

Roman was born and raised in New York City, and has lived in places like Cleveland, OH; LA; Tampa, FL and now Houston, TX. The many places he has been to both personally and professionally express a personality that is musically diverse and prolific. Bobby grew up listening to the Beatles, Motown and, of course, the sounds of Latin music and Jazz. These influences ultimately lead him to his unique expression in Gospel.

Roman’s career in music spans over 20 years. He studied voice under the teaching of Enez Matthews while attending Bronx Community College. Aside from being a talented singer and composer, he is an accomplished musician, playing both acoustic guitar and percussion. He has either performed or recorded with such great talents as Andrae’ Crouch, Raul Malo of the “Mavericks”, Jennifer Lopez, Willie Colon, Tito Puente and Celia Cruz to name a few.

In the realm of Praise and Worship, Bobby Roman has been identified as one that has masterfully incorporated sounds of all his musical influences as well as one who embodies elements of great artist such as Chris Tomlin, Jason Upton, Fred Hammond and Israel Houghton.
