All childrens46697_143987078972267_2460876_nMardi Gras will be in the air when the All Children’s Hospital Guild Brandon Branch brings its first annual Masquerade and Costume Ball in celebration of Carnival locally. The tradition of Mardi Gras will be abundant throughout the Grand Ball Room at the Hilton Garden Inn, which is located at 4328 Garden Vista Dr. in Riverview with the important key colors of purple, green and gold (purple stands for justice, the green stands for faith, and the gold stands for power).

The Mardi Gras Ball will be held on Saturday, March 1 with cocktails starting at 6:30 p.m. and the affair concluding at 11 p.m. Rod Carter, WFLA News Channel 8, will serve as Master of Ceremony. Also, as an added touch, traditional New Orleans-style cuisine will be featured. There will be live entertainment, a silent auction and a cash bar.

Tickets are $50 per person or $90 per couple and can be purchased at All Children’s Hospital Outpatient Clinic, located at 885 S. Parsons Ave. in Brandon, or online at ACHGBrandon.org.  Discounted hotel rooms are available which include breakfast for $104. You can call the hotel for more information at 626-6610.

Costumes are encouraged and the wearing of a mask requested.

The funds that are raised at this event plus ticket sales will go toward a $900,000 three-year pledge the Guild has made to the Pediatric Palliative Care Program. This program at All Children’s Hospital helps provide a coordinated, comprehensive, and compassionate approach to caring for children with life-limiting or potentially life-threatening illnesses and injuries. The Guild’s gift will create an endowment to expand and sustain this multidisciplinary Palliative Care Program and a portion stays right here in Brandon to help the hundreds of families it serves.

Please contact ACHGuildBrandonBranch@yahoo.com with any questions. Purchasing tickets in advance is highly encouraged.
