An upcoming community event for local Homeowner Associations in Hillsborough County will be taking place to answer questions that concerns all residents in the community.

On Saturday, March 15 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. community members can partake in free workshops at the Eleventh Annual Hillsborough County Neighborhoods Conference taking place at Hillsborough Community College Dale Mabry Campus located at 4001 Tampa Bay Blvd.

Admission to the event is free and includes continental breakfast, awards luncheon, tote bag and access to all exhibits and more than eighteen workshops.

Topics including rising flood insurance rates, grant writing, new home improvement products, engaging the community, legal advice on squatters and more will be covered at this community wide event.

The State Legislature recently enacted a new law requiring all members of homeowner associations to have special certification training under Florida Statures 720.301(9) which can be obtained at one of three, free sessions at this event.

The goal of the conference is to equip residents with the information needed to make neighborhoods attractive, friendlier, safer and more sustainable. At 1 p.m. the event will conclude with a Neighborhood Recognition Awards presentation.
