With approximately 3,400 homes, Summerfield Master Community Association, Inc. is probably the largest community in the Riverview area. Established on August 16,1984 Summerfield is a Deed Restricted Community with a large Community Center. The Clubhouse is currently closed with limited access during renovations. Upon re-opening, residents will have a larger Weight and Cardio Room along with a Wireless Internet room, updated bathrooms and offices creating a modern and sleek Community Center.
Community amenities include two pools; one being solar powered. The Summerfield Community Center has an air conditioned basketball gym with six nets, lit tennis courts allowing evening playing, a volleyball area and a fun playground for the little ones. There is a variety of weekly functions held at the Clubhouse with activities such as Zumba, Yoga, Karate and a personal trainer held on different days and evenings of the week. There is something for every age group. Some residents get together and participate in Walking Aerobic classes and Poolside Mermaids who do pool exercises during the summer hours. Summerfield attempts to have a little something for all residents.
The monthly newsletter has a variety of information in it along with a monthly calendar of daily events. The Ladies’ Club meets every month and holds different functions, sometimes aiding the Riverview community as well as having garage sales twice per year. The Social Committee holds different events throughout the year, some aimed for the adults along with children functions, like “Treats with Santa” and an Easter function.
Summerfield Master Community Association, Inc. also hires C.I.S. to service residents. Summerfield Community has access card systems in place allowing residents access to the amenities.
