On March 14, the Valencia Lakes West Women’s Club held its very first annual Men’s Fashion Show to raise money for its scholarship program.

It had clothes provided to them by Jos. A. Bank Clothiers and Destination XL.

“We had 12 of our most handsome male residents strutting down the lighted runway helping to raise $4,500 for scholarships for college bound seniors from Lennard High School,” said Patty Hibsher, president of Valencia Lakes West Women’s Club.

Hibsher said the night was a success and said it was all due to the dedicated team of volunteers, including their emcee, Dr. Earl Lennard.

Valencia Lakes West Women’s Club is a philanthropic organization and a big portion of its fundraising goes toward college scholarships for seniors at Lennard High School.

This is the Women’s Groups fifth year giving out scholarships. It currently offers a one time scholarship for students but are working on a renewable scholarship to help get the student through their whole college career. The Women’s Group is located in Wimauma.
