Do Not Feed Muscovy Ducks

Muscovy ducks are a fairly common sight in the ponds of Bloomingdale. They are typically black in color and their feathers have a purple tint with red bumps on their eyes and bills. These ducks can become aggressive if people begin feeding them, and have been known to bite pets and small children. Feeding these ducks will only cause them to breed more. There is currently a duck removal program taking place and residents are asked to not disturb any traps by the ponds.
