Valencia Lakes Women’s Club Memory Quilt

The Valencia Lakes Women’s Club will be hosting its annual Walk for the Cure on Saturday, November 8 around the main lake in the community.  The walk proceeds will benefit the Moffitt Cancer Center.  All proceeds go directly to cancer research at Moffitt.  Individuals who would like to make a donation can contact Marie Chandler at mariechandler @verizon.net.

A Memory Quilt has been added to personalize the walk this year.  Ribbons can be bought in honor of, in memory of someone who has survived, or is fighting cancer, or who has passed from cancer.  Donations of $5 for a ribbon can be made by contacting Marie Chandler at mariechandler @verizon.net.  E-mail her with your name, the person’s name you wish to honor or memorialize, and the type of cancer.  This quilt will be donated to Moffitt at the January meeting.
