HOARIvercrestFall Festival for Rivercrest Residents, Meetings & More

On Saturday, November 15 from 4-6 p.m. there will be a Fall Festival for the residents of Rivercrest. There will be a bouncy house, activities, food, soda and an outdoor movie, Mr. Peabody and Sherman, at 6 p.m.  A Resident Access Card is required to attend this event.

The last two Rivercrest Community Development District Board of Supervisors meetings of the 2014 year will be held Monday, November 17 and Monday, December 15. The meetings take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Rivercrest Community Center Clubhouse.

Rivercrest has partnered with the United States Marines to host a collection site for Toys for Tots and all donations are welcome at their clubhouse and can be received anytime between 9 a.m.-9 p.m. daily. Also on Saturday, December 13 there will be the annual Holiday gathering with Santa for Rivercrest residents.

Every Tuesday and Wednesday night there are Zumba classes at the Clubhouse at 7 p.m. for Rivercrest residents. For more information, visit

Valencia Lakes Women’s Club Memory Quilt

The Valencia Lakes Women’s Club will be hosting its annual Walk for the Cure on Saturday, November 8 around the main lake in the community.  The walk proceeds will benefit the Moffitt Cancer Center.  All proceeds go directly to cancer research at Moffitt.  Individuals who would like to make a donation can contact Marie Chandler at mariechandler

A Memory Quilt has been added to personalize the walk this year.  Ribbons can be bought in honor of, in memory of someone who has survived, or is fighting cancer, or who has passed from cancer.  Donations of $5 for a ribbon can be made by contacting Marie Chandler at mariechandler  E-mail her with your name, the person’s name you wish to honor or memorialize, and the type of cancer.  This quilt will be donated to Moffitt at the January meeting.
