Group Swimming Lessons and Swim Team Comes to Rivercrest

Riverview’s Rivercrest Community is excited to partner with Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center (BSAC) to bring swimming lessons to its community pool. The classes will be broken into four sessions and each will be 40 minutes in length with four time slots available.

The sessions take place four times a week for two weeks and the times are 9:45-10:25 a.m., 10:30-11:15 a.m., 11:20 a.m.-12 Noon and 12:05-12:45 p.m. The first session will take place June 12-22, the second June 26-July 6, third July 10-20 and the final July 24-August 7. The four levels range from beginners at Level 1 to stroke work at Level 4.

Registration is now open through BSAC’s at www.bluewaveswimming.com. Click on the Swim Lesson tab and then scroll to the bottom and select the Rivercrest tab. Rivercrest Offers Scholarship to High School Seniors

High School seniors who recently graduated with a GPA of 3.0 of higher are invited to apply for one of two $1,000 scholarships from the Rivercrest CDD. The district is hosting the scholarship competition for students whose parent or legal guardian is an owner and resident in the district. Applicants must also be accepted to an accredited four-year college or university to apply.

To receive an application, contact management at the CDD Community Center office, located at 11560 Ramble Creek Dr. Deadline for applications is Friday, June 13 at 5 p.m. and the winners will be announced at the July 17 board of supervisors meeting.

CDD Supervisor Seat Open in Rivercrest

The Rivercrest Community Development District (CDD) is looking for a resident to take an open spot on its board. When a seat becomes vacant during an officer’s term, the board is able to appoint a qualified voter registered in the State of Florida that resides in the district. Any resident who would like to be considered for the seat should submit a resume by mail or email to Rivercrest CDD, 11560 Ramble Creek Dr., Riverview, FL 33569 or Rick.Reidt@RivercrestCDD.org.

The Board of Supervisors may take action on the selection during any of the regular meetings at the Rivercrest Club House. For more information, call 672-3804.
