Riverview residents no longer must take a drive into Brandon, or Tampa, to get a taste of a freshly made breakfast. After much anticipation, the popular brunch spot known as First Watch is now open to the masses within Riverview at 13013 US-301 Suite C, across from the Wawa. After seeing the growth in popularity for the spot within the Tampa Bay area, it was only a matter of time before the healthy brunch option expanded to the community of Riverview.

The award-winning daytime café had its roots planted in Pacific Grove, California, and it wasn’t until CEO Ken Pendery moved to Sarasota that the company relocated its headquarters to the state. Despite the packed house, the staff are nothing but accommodating when it comes to answering questions about their menu; a menu that consists of fresh ingredients the First Watch team slice and juice each morning before the restaurant welcomes the public.

Brunch fans of Riverview are thrilled about the new location since it gives them the opportunity to enjoy the healthy food without burning too much gas to get to it. “It’s good food that’s not awful for you,” Marianne, a local, beamed as she walked into the restaurant. The restaurant has also become a popular spot for young people. “The food is good but I’d come just for the coffee,” Gerald stated, “It always tastes fresh.”

The restaurant company has always had a loyal following and, to give back to those who have given so much to their business, the company launched the First Watch Sun eClub in 2007. Members of the eClub receive email incentives, such as birthday deals, and are also the first to know about featured menu items and what is going on in the company. Upon signing up online or at a First Watch location, new members receive a “buy one, get one” offer.

Whether you’re a Sun eClub member or a Riverview visitor looking for a place to eat, First Watch: The Daytime Café has nothing but good food, and great times, to offer.

First Watch: The Daytime Café is open Monday through Friday, from 7AM to 2:30PM. Visit the new Riverview location at 13013 US-301 Ste. C, Riverview, FL 33578 or, if you have any questions about the new spot, call 423-4044.
