Whether it is a quick stop-in for a manicure, a pre-summer waxing service, a new haircut, a relaxing massage or a pampering session with its aesthetician, the staff at Boulevard Salon are experts at making customers look and feel their best.

Located at 210 E. Brandon Blvd., Boulevard Salon is a family salon, equipped to meet the needs of men, women and children.

“We offer an array of services so we can meet the self-care needs of busy families in one place,” said Boulevard Salon owner Kathy Hegenauer.

FishHawk Trails resident Gene Layton has been a customer of stylist Bonnie Step for years.

“Not only do I get a great cut, but the conversation is lively and she really listens to me,” he said.
Step, a barber with 40 years’ experience and the newest addition to Boulevard Salon, jokes that her primary customers are families, but she gets along well with men and enjoys the conversation topics.

“We talk fishing, landscaping and real estate,” she said.

In spite of the fishing talk, there’s still plenty of pampering going on at Boulevard Salon. Hegenauer’s service menu is loaded with hair artistry services, waxing, nail services, skin care treatments (including facials, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels), massage therapy and permanent make-up.

The newest service available at the salon is teeth whitening, offered by Southern Smyles Professional Teeth Whitening. Owner Renee Smyles, who has a dental background and more than 10 years’ industry experience, says her teeth whitening system delivers guaranteed results, even on caps and crowns, without any pain or sensitivity. She is currently offering an introductory special of $49 for her service.

Client Candy Jackson became a customer of Smyles after her grandchildren made a comment about her teeth.
“They said, ‘Mimi, your teeth are yellow’,” said Jackson, who has been a coffee drinker most of her life. She visited Smyles twice and was pleasantly surprised about the service.

“It was done in under an hour without any discomfort or irritation,” she said. “My teeth are noticeably whiter and I haven’t heard any more comments from my grandchildren.”

Boulevard Salon is open Tuesday – Thursday 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Friday – Saturday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Visit www.boulevardsalon.biz or call 571-5800 to schedule an appointment.
