Jaymer-Que Southern BBQ won the “Taste of Brandon” for Best Dessert last year. The Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce will hold the 24th annual 2012 Brandon Business Expo & “Taste of Brandon” on Thursday, May 17, from 3:30-8 p.m.

Each year businesses from all over the greater Brandon area come together in a networking opportunity hosted by the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce. This year the 24th annual Brandon Business Expo and ‘Taste of Brandon’ will take place on Thursday, May 17, from 3:30-8 p.m.

For residents, this event is an opportunity to meet with local business owners, learn about new businesses in the area and even sample some of the delicious culinary treats that local restaurants have to offer.

“The 2012 Brandon Business Expo & ‘Taste of Brandon’ is the event that Brandon area businesses make sure to attend year after year because it’s the place to get their name out to all of the other businesses and residents of the region,” said Justin Kropff, communications and marketing director for the Brandon Chamber. “Nowhere else can more than 200 local companies position themselves in front of more than 2,000 people all in one place.”

This year there will be approximately 25-35 area restaurants that will have booths. Past participants included Buffalo Wild Wings, Chick-fil-A at Lake Brandon Village, Hooters, Jaymer-Que Southern BBQ, Tabitha’s Tea Room, The Rack Sushi Bar & Billiards Lounge, Uncle Mike’s Smokehouse Grill and more.

Exhibitor space is available for $275 for Chamber member booths and $375 for prospective member booths. This year’s returning co-title sponsor is Ed Morse Cadillac of Brandon. The media sponsor is the Tampa Bay Times/The Brandon & South Shore Times.

The Brandon Business Expo and “Taste of Brandon” will be held at the Special Events Center at the Florida State Fairgrounds, located at 4000 U.S. Hwy 301 in Tampa. For registration information, contact Singletary at 689-1221, ext. 8836 or vsingletary@brandonchamber.com.
