7th Annual Saddles N’ Spurs Casino Night Provides Funding For Great Programs At BSAC
If you want a fun night out, then put on your “saddles and spurs” and get to the Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center’s (BSAC) 7th Annual Saddles N’ Spurs Casino Night. The annual event is set for Saturday, March 1 from 7-11 p.m. at The Regent located at 6437 Watson Rd. in Riverview.
Advance tickets are $35 for individuals and $60 per couple. Attendees will be treated to fabulous food and beverages (cash bar), silent and live auction and casino-style games. Each attendee (over 21 years old) receives one drink ticket and a $50 chip voucher.
In addition to the casino-style gaming, the event features its ever popular live and silent auction. This year, you can bid on fun items such as a Tampa Bay Lightning Community Hero Box, several golf/hotel packages, theme park tickets and much more.
Chuck Burgess, Executive Director for BSAC said, “We are so excited to bring the community together for a night of impact. This will be a high energy event where everyone that attends will have a fun time, get to connect with friends and family, and be able to make a difference in the lives of families and children in our community that are in need of our support. We can’t wait!”
Each year with the support of the community, BSAC is able to serve over 800 children. BSAC is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. Funds from the 7th Annual Saddles and Spurs are used for program improvements.
New at BSAC is the Saladino Baseball Academy which serves children ages three to 14. “The Saldinos have been in the Brandon community for many, many years, and it is real honor for us to be partnered with them now,” said Lori Bukaweski, Event Chair.
A big part of the funds raised go toward funding scholarships. Last year, BSAC was able to fund $60,000 in scholarships so children and families could take part in its fabulous programs.
BSAC is located on 12 acres at 405 Beverly Blvd. in Brandon. Since 1968, BSAC has been instrumental in sending Olympians such as swimmer, Brooke Bennett, and diver, Chris Colwill to the Summer Olympics.
