Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty will be presenting the Tenth Annual Dinner and a Show to benefit The Sunshine Kids, a non-profit organization dedicated to children with cancer.

Romano’s Macaroni Grill, Brandon, will be catering the event, followed by a performance of Three Across – a trio-singing group featuring DeeAnah Shenning, Kaley Storms and Kaitlyn Shenning. Admission also includes door prizes and raffles such as a big screen television, getaway trips and jewelry.

Katie Bush, real estate agent with Berkshire Hathaway, described Three Across as, “Lovely young girls with beautiful voices who will entertain us with music from the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s that older generations know and love.” She said patrons enjoy dancing at this event and added that they can look forward to, “Having a fun-filled evening while ‘funding a smile’ for kids that so desperately need one.”

Other contributors for the event include Minto Communities, a developer that is providing the Veteran’s Theatre at Kings Point Clubhouse. SunTowers, a retirement and rehabilitation community located in Sun City Center, is providing brownies for dessert. Guests are encouraged to bring their own beverage.

Unlike many non-profit organizations that have high administrative costs for executives and advertising, Bush said Berkshire Hathaway support The Sunshine Kids because, “According to their 2014 Annual Report, 86 percent of their funds went directly to programs that benefit the children. Only 14 percent of funds were used for administrative costs.”

The 2014 Sunshine Kids SpokesKid, Montana Dalman, expressed her gratitude of how the organization benefitted her. At age 15, Dalman was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer that spread to her lungs, requiring many rounds of chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant and an amputation. She described attending the Sunshine Kids Winter Games in Steamboat Springs, Colo., “I learned to ski and snowmobile. It was amazing. As strange as it sounds, I am thankful for my cancer. It made me appreciate the wonderful gift life is.”

The Tenth Annual Dinner and a Show is hosted in the Veterans Theatre at Kings Point Clubhouse located at 1900 Clubhouse Dr. in Sun City Center on Sunday, November 8 beginning at 5 p.m. Tickets cost $20 per person.
