It has been said that gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly Merry Christmas. With the holidays right around the corner, Ajay Jambhekar, owner of AJ’s Fine Wine & Liquors in Valrico, is gearing up for his annual bottle-engraving event. He has teamed up with Jack Daniels to offer bottle engraving on liquor bottles.
“I started this event about three or four years ago and I do it two times a year, once at Christmas time and the other around Father’s Day,” Jambhekar said. “These events are done basically as way to say ‘Thank You’ to our customers.”
The bottle-engraving event will take place on Monday, December 14 at Jambhekar’s store from 6-9.pm. Three different liquors that can be purchased for engraving are Gentlemen Jack, Woodford Reserve and Jack Daniels Single Barrel.
“This a one-day only event and I plan on having a cigar event and product sampling on that day as well,” Jambhekar said. “If you don’t want to attend the event, customers can purchase the different bottles in advance and have them engraved.”
Last year, Jambhekar had 48 bottles engraved at his store, which were the most bottles engraved at any liquor store in Hillsborough county that partnered with Jack Daniels.
“My goal is to have 60 bottles engraved at this year’s event,” Jambhekar said.
AJ’s Fine Wine & Liquors has been a part of the Valrico community for more than 12 years and Jambhekar loves educating his customers on the different liquors, wines and beers he offers in his store.
“In the liquor and food industry, the two most important things are taste and quality,” Jambhekar said. “I like to let my customers know about how different products taste and save them money at the same time.”
Jambhekar hosts events every Friday night at his store where customers can sample new products or sit on the patio while enjoying a few cocktails. “These events are a great way to relax on a Friday evening and enjoy the different products we offer in the store,” Jambhekar said.
