Jeremiah 29:11, says, “God says, ‘I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out-plans to take care of you, not to abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.’” The vision of LifeCare of Brandon started from this Biblical verse.

“LifeCare Network’s mission is to lead those we serve to the unconditional love of Christ as we protect the sanctity of human life, promote biblical sexuality and proclaim God’s plan for marriage and the family,” said Jessica Rickenback of LifeCare Brandon. “We are a non-profit outreach ministry serving the greater Brandon community since 1987 and South Shore since 2012. Through compassionate care, education, counseling, practical support and community networking, we provide support to teens, women, couples and families who are facing the challenge of an unplanned pregnancy as well as offer hope and healing to those suffering from heartbreak of a past abortion.”

LifeCare of Brandon hosts a yearly golf tournament to raise funds for the many programs offered at the non-profit.

“Larry Boston and Francis Jacobs started hosting the fundraising golf tournament over 20 years ago,” Rickenback said. “We continue to run this tournament each year.”

LifeCare has a dedicated planning committee that puts on the event each year.

“We are trying to add fun and memorable experiences each year,” Rickenback said.

The golf tournament will take place at River Hills Country Club on Friday, March 11 from 11 a.m.–5:30 p.m. The cost is $150 per golfer and registration fee includes lunch provided by Chick-fil-a of Brandon, snacks, dinner and a polo shirt.

“We also have a putting contest, raffles, auction items and so much more,” Rickenback said. “Our goal for this tournament is to raise $40,000 to help support the mission of LifeCare.”

“Our hope is that those in attendance would feel called to partner with LifeCare to help save more women, babies and families in our community,” Rickenback said.
