G. Fried Flooring America’s showroom and warehouse have been parked smack dab in between Brandon Honda and Ferman Chevrolet on E. Adamo Dr. for more than 17 years.
President Rufus Ashby never planned on moving from the prime location but fate always has a way of changing the best laid plans.

The building was sold and in January learned that his lease was not renewed. Ashby had to be out by February 28.

“It’s been such a unique situation to have the showroom and warehouse next to each other,” said Ashby.

His realtor scoured the available options. A permanent warehouse and office space was located on Madison Ave. between Highways 301 and 41. The retail location has proved trickier.

Until a permanent location is found, the store is moving to a temporary home, a 10,000 sq. ft. space located in the Kmart Shopping Center located at 1516 W. Brandon Blvd.

Ashby said even though the location is temporary, it will showcase a diverse selection of luxurious carpets in thousands of colors and patterns, exotic and domestic hardwoods, intricately patterned tile, durable laminate flooring, sheet vinyl and vinyl tile. More than a flooring specialty store, G. Fried Flooring America’s experts are trained in flooring sales and design to guarantee a unique level of personal service. Flooring delivery and installation are also available.

“We understand how difficult it can be to find just the right flooring and we are here to help,” he said.

G. Fried professionals helped FishHawk Ranch resident Rick Ramirez select and install wood flooring last year after water damaged the 1,800 sq. ft. first floor of his home.

“I had used G. Fried Flooring America in the past and knew that I could trust them with this large project,” he said. “They were very professional, clean and I was extremely satisfied with the finished product.”

G. Fried Flooring America is open Monday – Friday 9:30 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 Noon – 4 p.m.
