Anyone who has ever remodeled a home knows that it can be a major headache with worry that the contractor will complete the job quickly and in a satisfactory manner, but for Brandon resident Kathy Robinson, who built an 800-sq.-ft. addition onto her home, it was not a scary experience at all.

She received three bids for the job, which included increasing her living space by the addition of two bedrooms and a bathroom, before deciding to hire Cornerstone Homes and Design, Inc.

“They were the only contractor in our budget and I was impressed with the creativity in their plans,” she said.

From start to finish, Robinson said everything from free preliminary plan design to an interior designer assisting with colors and finishes to the superintendent overseeing the job.

Located at 10032 Water Works Ln. in Riverview, Cornerstone Homes and Design, a fully licensed and insured family-owned company, has more than 25 years of new home construction and remodeling, to fit within any budget.

“We take the fact that we are a custom homebuilder very seriously,” said President Steve Bronstein. The company starts with a blank sheet of paper and, without any preconceived notions about what the client wants, they create a 3-D design that exceeds the customer’s expectations, whether it’s a small renovation project or construction of a multi-million dollar home. Services include complete plan preparation and design, green construction, interior design services and on-site construction supervision.

Bronstein said their knowledge helps their clients make informed decisions. Gone are days when homeowners had one or two choices in building materials. “Homeowners today have so many choices and we attend all the builder shows and are able to evaluate the different building products and design choices that are on the market and share that with each client,” he said.

Bronstein said he is on-call pretty much all the time. “I once had to meet a client at 9:30 p.m. and you go that extra mile if you want to exceed people’s expectations,” he said.

Robinson said she enjoys her new addition and is grateful to the diligence and hard work of Cornerstone Homes and Design.
