The historic Tampa Theatre was built in 1926. As one of America’s best preserved movie palaces, the Tampa Theatre is a fabulous place to see a movie, live performance or take their thrilling Back Stage Tour. Whatever you do there, it will be a treat.

During the month of February the beautiful restored and authentic Tampa Theatre is a great place to celebrate the Academy Awards.

On select Sundays now through March 17 come see Sex Symbols of the Silver Screen at 3 p.m. You can spend a Sunday afternoon watching eight classic movies featuring some of Hollywood’s most iconic sex symbols such as Marlon Brando and Marilyn Monroe.

On Sunday, February 24 at 6:30 p.m. come to the Tampa Theatre and experience the glitz and glamour of the 85th Academy Awards. OSCARs Experience- Tampa is officially sanctioned by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. It is the Tampa Bay area’s only benefit supported by the Academy and is one of only 47 such events nationwide.

OSCARs Experience- Tampa will feature a red carpet VIP welcome, food samples and nominee themed games. Guests at this fabulous event will receive free popcorn and soda throughout the show. Coffee and doughnuts will be offered at the end of the evening.

Tickets to this one of a kind event are $30 for adults, $25 for Tampa Theatre members and groups of eight or more at the box office or online ($3 convenience fee applies). Tickets for students with valid ID is $20 and are available only at the box office.
