Willow Veranda photoJust in time for the holidays, there is a new boutique in Riverview for shoppers to find something for themselves or those on gift lists. The newly opened Willow Veranda Gifts & Boutique in the Shoppes of Boyette offers a selection of handbags, belts, scarves, stationary items, home decor, gourmet foods, collectibles, candles, baby items and jewelry. Brand names include UR Rebel & Jag Jeans & Capris, Spartina, Willow Tree angels, Heartwood Creek Collectibles, The Light Garden Floral & Lights, Root and Milk House Candles, Sterling Silver Jewelry by Southern Gates (designed from the iron gates of Charleston, S.C.) and Lucina K.

Willow Veranda Owner Karen Radcliff describes the store as neat, bright and fun, and explains that she, family and friends came up with the name because they thought it portrayed an inviting image.

“Think of a warm, sunny day sitting on the front porch swing sipping lemonade under a willow tree,” she said. “It is a place to enjoy yourself, make new friends and find that we have a little something for everyone.”

Radcliff’s background includes more than a decade owning a store in West Jefferson, N.C. and being a Licensed Concessioner of the National Park Service operating venues along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Born and raised in Brandon, she said, “With my roots and family all here, when we had the opportunity to relocate Sally Mae’s, LLC d/b/a Willow Veranda Gifts & Boutique, we decided on home.”

She added that the demographics and lack of “mom and pop” gift shops in the area also made Riverview a perfect place.

“We offer a variety of merchandise at the best affordable price we can. We offer friendly customer service and a relaxing atmosphere for one to enjoy being in,” said Radcliff. “If we are unable to help a customer find the item they are looking for, my staff is instructed to send them to our neighboring stores. After all, life is all about helping each other.”

Store hours are Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Willow Veranda is located at the Shoppes of Boyette at 11268 Boyette Rd. Visit or call 671-4761 for more information.
