Fishhawk Fellowship Church invites you and your friends and family to its annual Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year, the free event will take place in Fishhawk’s Park Square, located at 16132 Churchview Dr. in Lithia.

As its name implies, Eggstravaganza goes above and beyond the traditional egg hunt, as it transforms the grounds into a mini-spring carnival abounding with amusement. The larger attractions will include bounce houses, bungee trampolines, rock walls and giant hamster wheels. The family can also participate in an assortment of games, feast on tasty refreshments and receive a free family photograph.

Since the church’s formation in 1998, it has offered this Easter event to its surrounding community. It is well attended with an average of 1,800 to 2,000 people.

Senior Pastor David Whitten said, “It is our gift to the community. We will have a ton things going on for the kids. The whole purpose is to be a part of the community and build positive relationships.”

Typically, Eggstravaganza occurs on the church property, but due to current construction, the event has been moved to Park Square. On Sunday, March 5, the church broke ground to construct a state-of-the-art multipurpose facility. The building will incorporate a full-size gymnasium and accommodate 1,300 people.

Fishhawk Fellowship’s stated mission is “building bridges that connect people to a passionate life in Christ.” The church is constructing this facility as a means to connect with its sports-driven and family-oriented neighbors. The brand-new multi-use center will serve as a venue for various sports ministries and be available to the local schools.

“We are thankful to be in the community. For those who may not be involved in church or are looking for a church, I hope they will come out for the event (Eggstravaganza) and get to know us better. And then possibly, one day come and check us out,” said Whitten.

Whitten will be preaching a resurrection message on Saturday, April 15 at 5 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. and Sunday, April 16 at 8 a.m. 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. The church is located at 15326 Fishhawk Blvd. in Lithia. Please visit www.fishhawkfc.org.
