Redgrave, worship leader at Motion Church in Riverview, worship music is not only his treasure, it’s his passion. He released an EP called “You Shine Brighter” this past August

Martin Luther once said, “Next to the word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world.”

For John Redgrave, worship leader at Motion Church in Riverview, worship music is not only his treasure, it’s his passion. “I have always loved to sing and had a desire for entertaining others, but my passion for worship music and leading others in worship came when I was in middle school.”

Redgrave went to a retreat as a youth and experienced the presence of the Holy Spirit. “It was like God was calling me his own in that moment of worship and I knew he was telling me that this was my calling,” Redgrave said.

From that point, he started singing in the Methodist Church choir. He eventually became the worship leader at the church. Years later, he and his wife, Erika, moved to Brandon to help plant Motion Church in the Riverview community.

“We came down with the mindset that we were going to build a church that would serve not only our community, but would be a place where we would serve not only Christians but people who had a sour taste for church or might have been burnt in past church experiences,” Redgrave said.

This past August, Redgrave released an EP called “You Shine Brighter.” He said this EP was orchestrated by God and he believes there is something for everyone on his EP. “Because of the demographic of people we have connected with at Motion Church, I really wanted each song to reflect the emotions I felt from the beginning stages of my relationship with Christ to where I am now,” Redgrave said. “There are a couple of battle crying anthems and even a love song to our Lord.”

He hopes that people will use the EP as a tool to walk through the season they are in right now. Redgrave’s EP is available on Itunes.
