(formerly known as Santa in September) on Saturday, September 22, from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, located at 2913 John Moore Rd. in Brandon. The cost to participate is $35 and includes nine hours of crop time, breakfast, lunch, snacks, raffle/door prizes, a silent auction, a goodie bag and more.

All proceeds from the event go toward funding the GFWC Brandon Junior Woman’s Club’s Annual Children’s Holiday Party, which is held in December.

The Children’s Holiday Party is an annual event put on for underprivileged children from 21 elementary schools in the Brandon area. Between 80-100 children, who are chosen by the respective schools’ guidance counselors, are given a party complete with presents, pizza and dessert. Santa is on-hand to present each child with clothing, three-four toys, combs, crayons, art supplies, toiletries and much more. In addition to presents and treats, the children are entertained by magician/clown.

Jeanette Kjosa, of the GFWC Brandon Junior Woman’s Club, said, “We are very excited to host a wonderful croportunity to support the Children’s Holiday Party.” Kjosa added, “Many of the children who are invited to the Children’s Holiday Party would have no holiday without this program.”
